The process of treating wastewater includes the following:
- Wastewater collection – The wastewater is collected and directed to a central point using wastewater collection systems.
- Odor Control – All odor sources are treated by neutralizing the foul smell producing elements. This is done using some chemicals.
- Removal of Objects – Large objects like cotton buds, nappies, plastics, rags, sanitary items, diapers, broken bottles , etc. are removed.
- Treatment – Macrobiotic solid matters are separated from the wastewater.
- Tertiary treatment – There are many other steps before. However, at this stage, up to 99% of the impurities are from the wastewater.
- Disinfection – This process guards the health of animals and people’s who use the water for other purposes.
- Sludge Treatment – The sludge, produced and collected during the treatment processes, is treated and sent back to the environment. This can be used for agricultural use.
